Unfriendly and superior complex I took my 8 year old to get her passport and the lady was very tough and rude on her saying her hands had something wrong because the machine took long to detect her finger prints, it was a horrible experience
Monica was great! She was really nice to us and did her best to make my daughter comfortable. Yes, things take time, but that's the Chilean way and they have now added EFTPOS which makes things much easier.
Horrible service.... I can put 2 x 20year old in charge and automate all the manual processes in no time, too much waste but also reflect the age of the reps in the office. Be ready to spend same amount or worst time than Chile. How can in 2018 still running papers forms, manual queues and having to go to bank to deposit instead of having Eftpos onsite and nowdays most requests can be done online. example: In australia it takes me 4min to renew my driver license. in the embassy im renewing my passport, 2 weeks in im still trying to get an appointment.
Having recently visited this consulate with my father I agree with every single negative review online. Monica Fuentes Azu lacks the decorum that someone in her capacity should have. As does her colleague Jennifer Webb Jones. They felt it appropriate to let people through without having signed up.The lack of an expeditious process at this consulate means a simple enquiry can end up taking hours.
Arrogant, inefficient and slow very slow is all I can say about the consulate... be prepared to wait for at least 1 hour to be served by one of the ladies
