SHAME OF ALL OF YOU PEOPLE WORKING IN THE GREECE CONSULATE! i HOW CAN IT BE POSSIBLE THAT YOU DO NOT HAVE A MACHINE TO PAY WITH CARDS IN AUSTRALIA? HOW IT IS POSSIBLE THAT YOU ONLY WANT TO RECEIVE CASH FOR PAYMENT AND ADDING A 35% TO ALL THAT YOU CHARGE? WHY YOU DO NOT PROVIDE ANY RECEIPT FOR THE CASH MONEY THAT YOU RECEIVEHOW IT IS POSSIBLE THAT YOU GIVE AN APPOINTMENT AFTER ONE MONTH AND WHEN YOU ARRIVE YOU HAVE TO WAIT FOR ANOTHER ONE OR TWO HOURS AND THE WORST THING : YOU MAY WAIT AGAIN INSIDE THE OFFICE BECAUSE THE GOVERNMENT SERVANT JUST STARTED TO FILL UP THE DOCUMENT THAT YOU ARE WAITING TO COLLECT FOR ONE MONTH BEFORE...I HOPE SOON THE GREEK AUTHORITIES CHANGE ALL THE PEOPLE WORKING IN THE SYDNEY CONSULATE AND START TO AUDIT THE SYDNEY GREEK CONSULATE.
Both Sydney and Melbourne Consulate Offices are simply totally useless.Live in Hobart and have to deal with both over the phone or email. All communication via email are just not actioned in any way even after repeated email over several weeks. Phone calls to Melbourne just go beep beep beep and cut out, Sydney not much better. These delays are often costly not to mention the cost of having to fly to Melbourne or Sydney to sign off. Hobart urgently needs a this lack of service fixed, just so broken at the moment.
We requested an appointment for a visa and we were able to get one within a week (they saw us after hours). They also granted our visa in around 10 days so we were very happy with the turnaround time
I travel a lot and have visited many consulates. The officer at Consulate General in Sydney is absolutely the BEST! She is so helpful and nice! We had a great chat and she provided me a lot of travel tips and fun stories. Simply walk in to book an appointment, do not email/call, then you will enjoy the rest.
