Very bad experience I had planned to visit Canada for that I applied visitor visa with all required documents but they refused my file and gave me a reason you will not leave Canada at the end of your visa expiry it's really such a ridiculous decision because I am working full time as chef earning good wages legally why should I leave NZ just for visitor visa they have to think bit deeply. In my travel history I been to Malaysia and Australia and also living in NZ from more than last three years and have still valid visa till 2020 After got their funny decision I am surprised 0 star.
Its been extremely frustrating to deal with those people!!! They ruined our holiday and not even reply to our emails requesting to release our passports. They keep our travel documents including passport for months and just disappear from our world!!! The processing time is already doubled up on what its said on the website but still no results. Now we dont even have our passports to travel to anywhere else. Emailed them hundreds times and they are just hopeless!!! Useless service ever!!!
My wife and I dealt with a lady from the Sydney office named Nathalie in September of 2018. She was an absolute dedicated polite compassionate respectful individual, and thorough and a pleasure to deal with. However......Natalie is no longer there, and on November 19th we called in to the office and finally on the 21st of November we received a call from a female member of the embassy who was the rudest, arrogant condescending immature child of an individual to deal with. She must be an only child or a spoiled brat as she had no people skills and by the sound of her squeaky toned voice she must have serious self esteem and insecurity issues. Regardless of ones job role I recommend she takes a few courses in dealing respectfully with the public, or perhaps get a job at a Tim Hortons coffee and learn how to have some humility.
0 STARS. I'm going to travel to south america trough Canada, the transit will be 33 hours (less than the 48 hours). I applied for a transit visa after the system told me I was eligible (and that's why i booked the flight trough Canada, I've got an american tourist visa for 10 years and easily could just went trough there). They declined the visa because my flights stops in 2 airports (Vancouver and Toronto), this doesn't make sense since is still a transit. Already spent time filling up forms, gathering the requested information and everything. Now they are telling me that i need to apply for a visitor visa and pay fees, fill up another different application, go somewhere to collect some bio-metrics and more time and now pay money for a simple transit for less than 48 hours. Completely careless responses from the support and just another institution that exist to take money from people and advantage from them. Worse experience ever. Next time if you are transiting be careful and just go trough another country, you will have dramas with this poor service.
Passport renewal via mail was straightforward and I got my new passport within the estimated time. It would be helpful if the consulate would acknowledge that they received my application and also notify me the status of my application.EDIT (11/18): Emailed the consulate with enquiries regarding applying for my children's citizenship applications. Email response was within 48 hours and they even attempted to call me first. Wonderful.
