Great location Courteous staff. So fun to be at water's edge adjacent to The Rocks for shopping and dining options. Creative use of an original wharf warehouse building. Some rooms are smaller, due to the restricted footprint of the hotel conversion. Our "water front" room had only a small window that was not designed to open (#333). We would recommend this hotel for the overall ambiance and location.

This is our experience. Upon arrival to Pier 1 we were greeted with free white wine because there was a wait in line. We checked in, having already arranged our stay three days prior. We waited for 2 hours, after ordering food from the bar that we did not get to have discounted because we didnt know what room number they would assign us. We only discovered our room was ready based off the managers (the director of guest services) curiosity. We are platinum status members the Marriot so they sent up a few gifts (also from the director). Such as, a bottle of red wine and a cap. We stayed for a week. No one at breakfast seemed to notice that every morning we would be there. I would hope after a week of staying at a place, they find it in their time to know your name. For the cost of this place, its the least that can be done. Also, no one seemed too interested to bring things to the room whenever we ordered something up to our room. There is no security at this hotel except the people that awkwardly stand in the lobby area looking very lost to what theyre doing. You can easily access the hotel at night from the balcony area up near the roof. The sliding door leads you into the second floor. The only reason that door should be open was with an event, to which, there was none currently taking place that day or simple clean up of the white tent. When we used this entrance it was simply out of curiosity to skip the stairwell to the main entrance. We are after all, lazy Americans. We did this at 8pm. In summery, if your into paying $400 a night to be ignored and in a unsecured hotel, this is the perfect place for you. It goes to say, the person beyond the director needs to care about the hotel. The staff didnt.

Great hotel and we really enjoyed the location, right on the harbour. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet was delicious. Room was nice. Definitely more character, in my opinion, than the other Marriott options in Sydney.

If you are looking for a great hotel right next to Sydney Harbor Bridge well you have found it. You are so close to the Sydney Harbor Bridge that you could throw a rock and hit it. The rooms are nice and clean and the staff is very courteous and almost too helpful. They got me into my room quickly despite the fact I showed up kind of early. I am pretty used to dealing with my own luggage but the bell staff asked if I needed help multiple times. The besides the bridge another big attraction here is the lobby bar which seems to be buzzing any time after about 3 pm local time till late. It has to be the busiest hotel bar I have ever seen. In both my recent stays the weather was not cooperating so I hope to return at a time when it is sunny and bright. That is the excuse I will use to return here again. :-)

Boutique hotel. Love the old but modern rooms. Amazing views of the harbour. It's a 5 minute walk to the bridge and 15 min walk to the Opera house. We loved the breakfast buffet with their wide choice of continental and local food. They also have a great area for drinks and social area you can rent. They have cool bubble domes which can seat 5 to 10 people. Great for private parties. In room dining is good. Staff are friendly.
