I would rate this hotel a 1!Because 1)You have to carry your bags up a flight of stairs which is not cool2)The walls are dirty all over3) the basin is cracked4) there is a whole in the wall and they have just stuffed tissue into it5)the bedding is dirty and torn at the bottom 6)the furniture is damaged and the hotel smells bad!I would not recommend this place at all!It does not provide what is shown on the website! This is false advertising!Disgusted really!

What are the things you want from a hotel? No strange noises, a predictable bed, multiple times and dates, the way the actual cost of living and working from the beach and the second half marathon in the morning. How are you going to be able to get a chance? This place, that's how. Grab it while it's hot. Wowee.

Ideally you should only stay here on weekends since the parking is very expensive on weekdays since you have to park at Wilson or Secura. I parked at Wilson on Friday and left on Saturday, it cost me $84. The hotel itself is fine to stay at for a few nights since it's in the centre of the city. Roughly 15 minute walks to any attractions. I recommend spending a bit more money on a hotel that has its own parking, rather than staying at a hotel without parking.

This place has no elevator, and the rooms are very basic, they have no bell boys or any help too. It's good if you have only 1 days stay at Sydney and looking for a central area to accommodate yourself. Access is good by public transportation.Over all very average. No room service too.

I stayed at the City Lodge recently. Nice clean place. The staff were lovely and very helpful... actually went out of their way to ask ask how our day had been when we came back in , Staff deserve a 10 out of 10 . For the price I could not fault it. Really close to the City Centre and Train network, shops nearby. Room was cleaned daily by the staff and towels replaced daily.. plenty of Free tea and coffee bags in our room. Security was excellent so good safe clean place to stay. . It is value for money... not the Hilton Hotel... I rate it very highly for the price they charge. Lovely clean kitchen and dinning room for guests to use. Yes there was a steep walk up the stairs..but the good things about the City Lodge out weight this negative.
