Very interesting. Knowledgeable volunteers running the tours. Really enjoyed my visit. A bit hard to find your way around inside - easy to miss things. Allow plenty of time - at least 4hrs.

Brilliant place. We have a 5 year old and 1 year old. Although the 1 year old is too young to go on the ships however there is a great play area, cafe, activity area and if you are a member a brilliant private room with kids toys and comfy couches. We will definitely be signing up again for another annual membership to take advantage of their facilities

Really fantastic place to visit and bring kids. My 4yr old and I went today for the first time and he loved it. His first 3D movie and the opportunity to explore a submarine as well as other awesome ships. Really a memorable experience. Staff were all extremely friendly and helpful and a huge thanks to all the kind volunteers who brought it all to life.

With working machinery, model ships and diving gear to interactive displays there are plenty of interesting things to see and learn at the maritime museum. Paid sections change to suit themes. The following photos are in the free section of the museum. It is wheelchair friendly with great amenities and an awesome gift shop. Highly recommend taking the time to visit it.

Loved this precinct! Did the tours of the ships and submarine. My husband got in for free as he is ex Navy ( but we would of paid until the girl heard me ask my husband had he served on any of these ships, prompting her to ask was he Defence). The Volunteers are friendly, enthusiastic and knowledgeable. My husband was thrilled to revisit the ships similar to the ones he served on. Was the highlight of our day. The museum is spectacular lots to see and a great gift shop.
