A bargain $30 family ticket for the standard exhibits, but this becomes $72 with a "No photos allowed" ticket to the feature whales exhibit. Mr. 5-year-old had very little interest in most of the feature and we blitzed it in twenty minutes; the rest of the museum was a solid 90 minutes and more appealing to a youngster
This museum is massive, so much to see you'll need +5 hrs to properly see all its content.I use to come here as a kid and I still enjoy it now. So much to see and great variety of things to see.
Its a really great museum with plenty of stuff for everyone. I really enjoyed the Australian Geographic exhibition and the whales one was cool as well. I would recommend it for a hot or rainy day in Sydney
We took our 2.5yo and 0.5yo girls and had a fantastic time, perhaps even better than the zoo! Heaps to see and do, everywhere is pram friendly and a comfortable atmosphere. Theres also a cool play area for kids that will keep them entertained for an hour - very clean as well. Definitely recommend for young families!
Great museum with beautiful exhibits. The app and audio tours are great options to go at your own pace. The cafe on the 4th floor was fine for a quick bite. Catch the light show of the 200 treasures, its really neat. Layout encourages meandering and allows you to get around people easily. Plenty of kid friendly exhibits too.
