Never will Nautilus get my cover.Called Nautilus Marine Insurance and spoke with an Adam Brown for a quote on my Hanse, Adam would have to be the rudest person I've ever dealt with in my life.Adam Brown suggested that I should change my rigging on a 2013 build, he could not comprehend the questions asked about the cover and started arguing with me.Adam suffers from Narcissistic Personality Disorder.Adam exhibiteda lack of an ability to empathize with anyone in my businesa he spoke with and had an inflated sense of self-importance.Adam showed hallmarks signs of Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD) such asgrandiosity, a lack of empathy for other people, and a need for admiration. People with this conditionare frequently described as arrogant, self-centered, manipulative, and demanding. They may also concentrate on grandiose fantasies(e.g. their own success, beauty, brilliance) and may be convinced that they deserve special treatment. These characteristicstypically begin in early adulthood and must be consistently evident in multiple contexts, such as at work and in relationships with people contacting him for a quote.Adam Brown suggested that he was superior to me, andsuggested that he associate with other people he believes are unique or gifted in some way. What this had in relation to my insurance quote was beyond me. I asked Adam what this had to do with my quote, he then suggested that he would not be quoting me.This association enhancestheir self-esteem, which is typically quite fragile underneath the surface. Individuals with NPDseek excessive admiration and attention in order to know that others think highly of them. Individuals with narcissistic personality disorder have difficulty tolerating criticism or defeat, and may be left feeling humiliated or empty when they experience an "injury" in the form of criticism.Adam exaggerates his own importance, is preoccupied withfantasies of success, power, beauty, intelligence and ideal romanceHe believes he or is a special person and can only be understood by other special people or institutionsAdam required constant attention and admiration from others while I was on the phone with him.He has unreasonable expectations of favorable treatment, tkes advantage of others to reach his own goals, disregards the feelings of others, lacks empathy & seemed envious of others and showed an arrogant behavior and attitude.I will be keeping my yacht with Club Marine.
Nautilus Marine were very helpful in dealing with the theft of my 6 month old jet ski, promptly and professionally handling my claim. As a result, based on my new for old policy I had a brand new replacement in less than 4 weeks. I was very impressed with Nautilus Marine and also a special thanks to Jim in Brisbane, who was excellent!
My Yacht hit a drifting wave recorder buoy off Evans Head. Our rudder was ripped out of the hull and we had to abandon our beautiful yacht. Eventually she washed ashore was looted by locals then wrecked by a very amateurish salvage. Im still trying to recover my personal items . Police are investigating theft of our gear by the salvage people. Nautilus wont return my emails. They have not been very helpful at all. We were covered for loss of personal items & they wont pay our claim even though the stuff was stolen while the boat was in their control. The true test for any insurance company is when you have to make a claim. These guys did everything to minimize their loss nothing to try and help even though we had lost our home. There are much better companies out there to deal with especially if you are a cruising yachty. Nautilus are probably ok if own a speed boat or a tinny. If you have a valuable yacht look elsewhere .
