I was offered 4 weeks free at the time I signed up. Staff at the time of signing up and the reception staff last week told me that 4 weeks are applied after the end of the membership. Phoned today to check if the 4 weeks free offer is applied on the account, the lady on the phone said there is no offer on the account and 4 weeks are applied at the start of the membership. Cancelled the membership because of this deceiving behaviour.
Got a day pass for 28 AUD when I was here for work. Once I got changed and asked them for a towel, they said a towel costs extra. Come on Fitness First - when I pay the equivalent of a weekly membership for one workout, I should at least get a towel. Anytime Fitness across the road are less expensive, more accommodating and much friendlier.
That Korean guy 'Sun' provided the worst service you could ever imagine.
A banging recommendation to visit or use regularly for this location, very nice and various selection of equipment and really good locker rooms!
Don't tell you about a month long notice period to cancel, which applies even when your membership contract is about to end. Just a pure money grab. With all the other options of cheaper clubs that charge as you go, no reason for anyone to lock in 12 months of this overpriced club only to be screwed one last time when you try and leave at the end of your agreed term. As an extremely bitter person I will make it my life's work to talk anyone out of joining fitness first whenever the topic of gym memberships comes up. They've just made the list.
