Disappointing! The good reviews on Google are bought!!!Happy Travelers offers its customers a supposedly free hostel if you write them a good rating in return.We never received a confirmation for this hostel and only got a voucher after several complaints, but it was issued for a too late date and therefore unusable for us.Don't go there! They will only scam you!

Can not recommend Lauren from Happy Travels enough for helping me sort my dream east coast trip!I turned up one afternoon having been to a few other travel agents that told me that what I wanted was near enough impossible. At first I thought I was going to be told the same thing, but Lauren came to the rescue.I explained that I had a very small budget in mind, a very specific timescale, not a lot of knowledge as to where I wanted to go and that I wanted to go at the beginning of January- so basically an aussie travel agents absolute worst nightmare.Lauren went through every town between Sydney and Cairns and showed me pictures, hostels and things to do at every point along the way- no one had done this for me and it was so helpful to have her knowledge! Lauren has also travelled the east coast a lot so could talk from personal experiences. We got a calendar and pencilled in a plan, including all of the big tours and day trips and Lauren was able to get me incredible deals on trips and accommodation. I spent around 3 hours in there carefully going over every detail and making sure Id made the right decisions and that I was keeping costs down. We ended up going slightly over my stupidly low budget which was going to be unavoidable, but she did everything in her power to make my trip and fun and as cheap as possible. I really feel like she understood me and I was so grateful for that! If youre struggling to plan your trip- this is the girl you need! Thank you so so so much!
As someone taking a gap year, Happy Travels was the best choice that I could off made to help plan my after work travels. I booked to pretty much travel all over Australia with everything included for so much cheaper than I could find online and including everything that I had on my bucket list and more. I can not fault the work of Joe to help me plan everything, he has taken many hours to make sure that I am going to have the most perfect trip. Joe approach was friendly and welcoming. He is a credit to the happy travels team. I am going to be recommending the store to anyone I see and have already sent a friend to see Joe. 138 days and counting!!!
After being brought in as a simple voucher offer for a boat trip we were then talked into booking an entire east coast trip. As we have our whits about us we had already priced up and planned most of the east coast trip ourselves. We were intrigued to see what they could offer us and the deals they had were good. However I have never experienced such terrible customer service and appallingly childish behaviour from the so called manager Joe. He got frustrated and rude when we said we would like to think about our decisions and was extremely unprofessional. We had simply asked for a night to think about it and he completely changed his tone and became unfriendly and pressurising. He didnt let us keep any of our plans and made extremely rude comments to us. We got off easy not paying any money to this company and I will be spreading the word to all backpackers I meet from this point on to avoid them at all costs. They lied about certain trips and have no respect for the customers time. Well actually Joe had no respect for his customers. Cannot speak for the rest of the staff.
