The absolute best meal I have ever had. Tranquil garden surrounded by tables angled towards it. The food was phenomenal. The wait staff are super professional, and explain each course as it comes to the table. They asked at the start of the night if we had any likes or dislikes (we didn't), so I think they would have taken those into account if we wanted. I have wanted to go for over a decade, and it was well worth the wait!
A great experience.I'll say right off the bat, this place isn't cheap. With that said it is a terrific experience and the gardens are spectacular. The staff and their attention to detail, attentiveness and the story they tell (about where the food/wines originate and how they go together with their respective dishes) are what really makes it a terrific evening. The food portions are on the smaller side but are extremely tasty and impeccably cooked. If you attend to cross this one off your bucket list and for an all round pleasurable experience you won't be disappointed.
Tetsuyas Restaurant is simply amazing. It has a reputation for being the best restaurant in Sydney and deservedly so. There is only one option: a multi course tasting menu that is out of this world... the best dishes are always the seafood - culminating with the amazing salmon dish. There is always the option of matching wine - which I recommend - and the service is always perfect. Tets transports you to a different place in the world - and while expensive, as a way to celebrate a special occasion, no place is better. We recently celebrated our second anniversary here... and it was unforgettable. Thanks to Belgium Stan and Manuel for everything! Cant wait to come back!
Staff is absolutely brilliant - greet you like an old friend. Some of the best cocktails in Sydney. I would say its worth going at least once just for the experience. Dishes however while incredibly technically impressive have a hit and miss flavour profile.
Made a last minute booking a month ago, and it definitely didn't disappoint. Came back after a visit 10 years ago, and it's still top class quality food and service. Everything was very well put together, and the service staff were very attentive and explained the dishes well.
