It has been a long time since I have been here. Had a great evening at the tower restaurant and a leisurely stroll through Hyde Park. Even at 8.30pm the park was a buzz with people. It was great.
I love this park. Always tidy. A great walk inside looks like you are not in the city.
Lovely trees to sit under amongst the meandering roots. A constant symphony of insects and birds filling the air. You can be surrounded by people but at the same feel a satisfying solitude. The sheet of water in front of the memorial is also a beautiful place to take photos or just watch the reflections. Good wide running paths.
Hyde Park is a wonderful park it is in a great location in the city of Sydney lots of historical things around the park and things to see such as War Memorial,Captain Cook's statue and other interesting things to see. Hyde Park is right across the street from the Sydney Museum and the Cathedral, prison and other historical sites. Very glad I took the time to go down to the park and see all these things. Once you're at the park all these things are within walking distance. The free walking tour is another great idea that takes you to through the park and explains a lot about the area highly recommend that.
Nice city park with the smell of China Town near by. Take a train from nearby Martin Place to Town Hall and have a relaxing stroll towards Darling Harbour. Hyde Park is an ideal place to show of some of your magic tricks to walkers/joggers.
