My first visit to this local landmark was mostly as expected. It's important to note that there is a combination of elevators, escalators and stairs to access the main building that can be accessed under the iconic front stairs. There are bathrooms available on the second floor but they can be quite busy id you're visiting for a performance. There are coat checking facilities and a small gift shop selling Sydney and Opera House souvenirs for visitors.
Don't buy the gift cards. I ordered mine on December 3rd and they have not arrived in time for Christmas. "Customer Service" response was.. oh sorry they appear to be in QLD (I am in NSW), this is the Australia post tracking number....This is 1 day before Christmas !! pretty Grinch Dendy !!. 0 stars for service
A bit of a hidden gem, and it's still hard to figure out how they've managed to squeeze three cinemas underground at that location. It all seems very cute and cozy and the staff were friendly and helpful. Worth a visit especially if you are into arty films.
My 1st time.Nice cinema just past Circular Quay, on way to Opera HouseCourteous staff I'd give more but they DO NOT have seat risers. The manager did find a box, but was not for purpose, nor comfortable.
Great cinema with quality bathroom facilities. At first I thought there was no soap. NB. There is soap in the top dispenser, you just need to look up. I checked with my husband and he confirmed that this is the case in the mens facilities also. Thanks for the hygienic cinematic experience, Dendy.
