A high quality, private hospital convenient to central Sydney. I was admitted for a procedure and two nights stay and I cannot fault the place: medical expertise, admin support, facilities and catering were all outstanding.I knew I was in safe hands during my unexpected hospitalisation; starting from my first consultation with a specialist, my admission, my surgery and aftercare on the ward through to my discharge. I found the admin excellent in managing my short notice admission, 48 hours after diagnosis - though they are also super efficient at getting the bills out, even before you have crossed the threshold.
Nothing but praise for the incredible staff at the Mater Hospital. Absolutely everyone I have dealt with from pathologists to surgeons and from midwives to the Special Care nurses have been warm, professional, highly competent experts in their fields. In over three weeks of daily dealings with this hospital, I have absolutely no reservations or complaints. The people who work here are truly extraordinary and I will be forever grateful for how they have looked after myself and my family through stressful times.
It is one of the best hospitals that have good as well as the experienced doctor. I must say that these doctors are the real experts. It is the perfect hospital that is equipped with all modern facilities.
Would put 6 stars if I could. The maternity was absolutely great, with extremely friendly and helpful staff. Our baby was well taken care of the entire time and the services provided are excellent. Highly recommended for a first baby!
firstly I would like to thank all the staff that helped my wife.This review must start by thanking all the hard-working front-line staff who helped my wife recover from her operation. I have nothing but praise for these dedicated people. This includes all involved such as cleaners and orderlies. The hospital seems to rely a lot on volunteers who do a great job.The only complaint I have is with the management of the hospital as I felt that on some shifts, the ward was under staffed and feel that management should be looking into their staff to patient ratio. The food was OK for hospital food and the idea of ordering and eating when your hungry is a good one and stops a lot of waste.Parking is a problem and I heard lots of people saying that the paid parking was a long walk back to the hospital. I also think that 30 dollars a day is expensive when you have to visit a sick relative every day.Some of the equipment looked a bit tired and generally the place could do with a spruce up but overall everything has worked out well. Five stars for the front-line staff and three for the management.
