Planet Hair has a very friendly staff. I get my hair done here every week for a year now and always exceeds my expectations. I highly recommend Yin "Top Hairstylist" she knows exactly what i want and never fails. Ive recommenced all my friends to come here and they end up leaving happy and satisfied.
It would be good to keep in mind that the ratings for this place are pretty inflated, since they give you a "10% off your next visit if you rate them 5 stars on Facebook or Google Reviews." There were paper signs on the wall, next to the mirror, where I was sitting at. (Edit: Don't know why the owner is denying this 'offer' and telling a blatant lie. If you look at the other reviews, reviewer K P acknowledges this 10% discount, and Planet Hair doesnt deny it. Screenshot attached. Also, no one claimed your salon 'forced people to give good reviews', but offering them such an incentive would undeniably entice them to, even if they didn't feel like your salon was worthy of such a rating. Dishonest practice.) I don't doubt that the senior stylists here are as good as people say. However the ability of their regular stylists is... appalling... It is $60 for a regular cut from a regular stylist. For $60, I think it's reasonable to expect the hairstylist to be able to cut your hair like decently trained and qualified hairstylist, not like a trainee stylist. (Edit: In a response from the owner, who offered me a Director's cut because I was not happy, as I said: I don't doubt that the senior stylists could be good. My point is, if you pay $60 for a haircut with a junior stylist, that's a lot of money, and for $60 they should be cutting you hair like a JUNIOR STYLIST. Not like a trainee. So, no, I would not like a Director's haircut. I would just like people to know that your salon is unreliable in its standard as it seems to really depend on your luck if you get a good haircut, & it's kind of a rip-off.)The haircut I got had very rigid and uneven bangs, very very quick (5 minutes of just rough cuts) and very little attention to detail. It wasn't the worst haircut ever. It didn't infuriate me or anything of that sort, it was just borderline unbelievable and pretty humorous. It was just very unreasonable for $60, as it looked like I attempted to cut my own hair and kind of succeeded. Which is really not the look you should be going for if you're forking out $60.I think this place averages at around 3 stars, but I'm giving 1 star in light of their inflated ratings. The only redeeming quality of this place is that they're pretty good at curling hair, so maybe skip the haircut and go with hairstyling instead, if you really, really insist on coming here.

I love planet hair. They always honour their booking times! I always get seen right away. Their hair stylists all seem very knowledgeable and I leave the salon really happy with my haircut (this is rare for me in most other salons).
