Fish & chips are not bad at all and are only $10 on Tuesday. The service is good as well. You can also order juice or other kinds of soft drinks to go with the meal. The view of this location is absolutely amazing. The vibe of this place is great with all the music playing. Perfect place to stay and take a rest after visiting the zoo and aquarium.
Security at Pontoon are absolutely DISGUSTING. Last Saturday I started my night at 7pm for my birthday with around 42 people attending. I was literally standing at the bar with a few mates buying me drinks until the security came up to me and asked for ID before telling me I had to leave for being "intoxicated". I was sober at this point.As I continued to be escorted out it was very obvious that there was racial profiling going on. Almost like we were being watched and looking for something to pin on me (meanwhile there was a caucasian woman practically on the floor and they didn't bat an eyelid).They were extremely rude and if I was "drunk" they didn't offer to give me water. UNTIL a friend who was a lawyer started stating legal terms, then they decided to "do the right thing" by giving me a bottle of water, before pulling the red card on me to give me a $550 fine if I didn't leave.AVOID AVOID AVOID this place at all costs. I suggest they get bouncers that don't have to prove their masculinity by kicking people out for no reason at all
The music here is LIT!! This was the only place where I really really enjoyed the music. I knew every song and it was easy to dance to. The only downside is that it gets very crowded. I would also double check the prices before going. It's $10 only on Friday. Otherwise it's $25.
Loved the fish and chips and would come back for them every time. Watch out for the birds as they are aggressive and even got one of my fishes.. They were nice enough to give me a new one.
Enjoyed a really nice meal here for lunch. Food was excellent accompanied by an obviously fantastic view right next to the water. Venue is huge with plenty of seating with screens on the wall showing various sports. Menu has plenty of variety with very competitive prices for lunch. Service was friendly. Come prior to midday to get the best seat as lunch time fills up quickly.
