I tried John Farrer Locksmith's Service after reading other Google reviews. I took my 8 window push button locks to them to see if they can identify the code and make a master key or will it be separate master key for each of the 8 locks. They quoted me for identifying one lock's key and it was a reasonable $25 for X amount of their locksmith's time. I thought it was alright as it will be a hit or miss if they identify the code for one lock which can in turn be used to unlock the remaining 7 locks.It turns out to be the case and the identified code and resulting key ended up unlocking other locks. Few locks were corroded and they happily lubricated and kept it ready for me to ensure they were in operational condition. These locks were fitted in the early 90s and probably not in circulation any more. The unlocking saved me some money as well as ensured, I could refit them back on the windows.I found one of their Locksmith's knowledge to be in-depth and even his explanation of different kinds of lock lubricants and why wd-40 is a bad choice. I believe, they know their stuff and I'm glad I found out a good Service! Hope this helps others.
I have used this shop for over 10 years. Very knowledgeable folks, I have never had any issues with any keys they have cut. I have used them for home rentals, and work projects. Funny, I recently commented to a co-worker that came with me to cut some of his own keys, that I never fail to go away feeling smarter about locks in some way! He agreed! Highly recommended for Attitude, Enthusiasm, Skill and Accuracy!!
Never had a problem after five years. Have a number of keys cut, where other entities have said "Too Hard". Provided me with a replacement key for a late model car, for a fraction of the price the dealer demanded. Refreshing to see the "P" in Professionalism.
