As a mediator over agencies in the public sector, I can recommend the following to anyone seeking to handle a dispute using the Ombudsman's office. Use them as they are required to show you have tried to resolve issues with an agency. Follow the processes and be patient and reasonable. 1.) Document everything. 2.) Request to record everything .3.) Request timelines and commitments on everything. 4.) Seek legal council on holding agencies to account as the Ombudsman's office will tell you and show you what they should be doing, however they do not hold themselves to the same measures and standards. 5.) Work under the consideration that you are dealing with those seeking to protect government agencies.
It is Very disturbing the NSW Ombudsman said they would not investigate this serious matter - failing to investigate cases is actually corruption- its sad that taxpayers are paying these despots -this was my complaint to them -Poor communication LawyersRe my purchase of property located at 21 savoy st barraba These notes relate to my complaint to nsw legal services commisioner about me having to pay previous owners council rates arrears of some $3900 when I was clearly not advised my solicitor of these arrears. I received a Letter from nsw legal services commisioner who says I have to pay these arrears. Ibelieve it is not Fair for me to pay these arrears and I disagree with his findings My right of reply will be to send a letter back to Censure the NSW legal services commissioner for a very biased and incomplete investigation into the facts of this matter. why was there not mention of the lawyers sending all letters to an incorrect address and why did my solicitor send all correspondence to a difference address contrary to my instructions? Why was investigation closed when my lawyers are in process of waiting to hear back from Tamworth Council? Re waiver of pens /fees etc? Why did you disregard written evidence I sent in which shows previous owner owed arrears of some 3900 dollars to council? Why did you disregard written evidence of bank cheque for $1600 which is what I was asked to get from the bank to send to sellers conveyancer to pay council arrears?why wasn't I advised by my solicitors that the arrears were really$3900? Why did youadvise that I had been advised by solicitors that everything had been explained to me when facts are they did not- and why did you disregard my evidence that I never received any letters about this purchase from my solicitors Why did solicitors change my mailing address without any instructions from me? Any previous purchases by me using the same solicitors are not relevant to this purchase other than solicitors had my address correct in the first instance and not correct in the latter I have a letter of reply to my local state member of parliament to voice my concerns about current nsw policy of these matters as I am not satisfied that my concerns have been properly investigated by the nsw legal services commisioner I disagree with the legal services commisioner findings It has caused me a lot of stress and financial difficulty in paying these arrears when I was in shock after receiving The first Council rates notice Why did you not take into account of the "duty of care " or " acting in the best interest of the client" and not making mistakes provisions that solicitors have to do when acting for clients? Why did you not take into account that I have to pay$100 fortnight against my will to the council for many mths to pay these council arrears ? Why did you disregard my written evidence and why did he accept evidence from solicitors when it was not under oath or not the form of a statutory declaration? I ran the Tamworth council the day after I received the legal services comm letter and they said they are still in process of making a decision and they are not able to reply to my solicitor yet about whether penalty fees Etc
just about to contact this department now about a horrific experience i had at the ryde hospital ,the investigation was closed without my knowledge nine months later ,when i contacted a Ms Katherine ONeillon on the number given , to ask about the contents of this letter ,i was shocked by the lies when i asked her to explain this to me she screamed and shouted abuse at me .what hope do i have ? depending on the outcome i will write the full contents in this review , Dorothea Macdonback again 4/9/18 dot like what i said a few min, ago well i will say it again without the detail, the ombudsman did not bother to contact me again ,they work in with the nsw health care commission ,not interested in the truth or working to make hospital a safer place for the vundable ,looking after the corrupt is there interest, especial the complaints department ,ryde hospital ryde nsw .lets see if this review is excepted .

Employees at the NSW Ombudsman only work to cover up for illegal actions and misconduct by their fellow public servants. That is what they are paid by NSW state government to do, at the expense of the public who lodge complaints with them, and expect some honest action. The Ombudsman has covered up vast amounts of police corruption, and should be forced to release all of those records, to the public and to new investigators. Not to the LECC though, as they are already maintaining the same attitude as the Ombudsman did before them - cover up illegal conduct, so the victim receives no justice at all.
