Felt very upset after talking to one of the solicitor regarding my fine (traffic related). It was totally not helpful and I felt I should not spend so much money for a useless 1 hour consultation. Definitely a waste of time and money. I finally found another solicitor from Facebook page and he said he could help me. I felt much better after chatting with him on Facebook.
I paid for this bunch to represent a family member. The guaranteed "Payment of this invoice guarantees your lawyer's appearance at any upcoming court case" was NOT complied with. A replacement solicitor was provided less than 24 hours before family member's appearance, she arrived late (after court session had started), immediately asked family member what the case was about, then FAILED, even after being briefed at that point, to mention to the magistrate the crucial point and the only reason family member had taken the case to court anyway! Certainly there was zero evidence that any defence had been prepared or that the replacement solicitor had done anything other than wing it. The original solicitor had been called away on another case, even though this hearing had been arranged about six weeks earlier - by her. Took this bunch to the Legal Services Commission, only to find that apparently breaching their own terms and conditions, turning up at court after commencement of a session, and failing to follow specific client instructions are all perfectly fine. I have a theory about why that is, but probably safer not to publish. Would I use this bunch again? About as likely as voluntarily cutting my own leg off with a rusty razor.
The lawyer we spoke to and the other staff we spoke to were all very understanding and showed empathy and compassion toward our legal concerns. They were very clear with the legal advice they gave us regarding something I won't say on here as that's our personal information. However,I will say my partner and I are very satisfied with the service we recieved and will definitely come back if we ever need more legal advice or a lawyer. Strongly recommend Go To Court Lawyers if you're looking for a lawyer who has compassion & understanding and speaks very clearly and gives you a clear understanding on whatever legal advice you ask for. She was organised & familiar with the reason for our visit & ready to see us when we arrived early. After a brief friendly chat we got to business. She was professional, compassionate, efficient & we were well informed as to how our case would be handled. My lawyer Phillip was good and provided me with some unbiased advise. I assumed that there would be some action that he would take however was told that those actions would cost further such as sending a legal notice etc. Nevertheless, the meeting the good and am happy I had the discussion.
