Hidden gem full of yummy cakes and pastries. Bought a few birthday cakes and they were all brilliant! They also sell individual cut, just for personal indulgence moments. I love chocolate so their chocolate cake is my favourite. It is located in the angel place precint, bit tuck away on the corner, closer to Ivy bar.
Hidden in a little alley way ... Lorraines is a gem. Delicious cakes and tarts. Its hard to resist choosing more than one treat. If youre in Sydney, you must try Lorraines goodies. Go in early for the strawberry mascarpone cake.
Their customer service is very poor. Last time we booked a whole cake for co-workers' birthday celebration in the office. They did not prepare on time. They did not call and inform about it before pick up time. When I arrived, the staff said it takes another 15 minutes. When we went back to the shop 20 minutes later. The cake was still not ready, and Lorraine informed us it takes another 15 minutes. Third time I arrived at the shop the cake was still not ready. I decided to wait in the shop and I had to wait another 15 minutes in the shop. Lorraine did not apologise. I do not think she values others' time. It was a shame because her cake was beautiful. Hope they work for improving customer service...
Way overpriced. 10$ for a slice of cheesecake?! Its delicious but thats really pushing my limit of what Im willing to pay. Also staff need to work on being nicer. Should go without saying that customer service is an essential part of any business.
